Four solo voices from Brisbane’s professional choir, One Equal Music, will present a variety of choral music new and old, serious and fun heralding the Christmas season in collaboration with PIP Theatre’s Toucan Club in the heart of Milton. If traditional carols fill you with a warm sense of nostalgia, or if you are intrigued by what the classical music nerds like to sing at Christmas, or if you like a bopping Idea of North Christmas Medley, then do please join us at the Toucan Club.

A Choral Smorgasboard
Four solo voices from Brisbane’s professional choir, One Equal Music, will present a smorgasbord of new and old choral music from around the globe in collaboration with PIP Theatre’s Toucan Club in the heart of Milton. From the resonant renaissance harmonies of Thomas Tallis to the modern minimalistic tones of Arvo Pärt be prepared to experience music that speaks to the soul.

Immerse yourself in the festive spirit with One Equal Music's captivating program guest directed by Mr Dominic Fitzgerald. At the heart of the evening is Benjamin Britten's A Boy Was Born, a monumental work that showcases Britten's genius for choral writing, filled with intricate textures and profound emotion. This extraordinary composition is a centerpiece of 20th-century choral music, making it a must-hear for any music lover.
The program also features Johann Sebastian Bach's Komm, Jesu, komm, Morten Lauridsen's O Magnum Mysterium, and Arvo Pärt's Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis, bringing ethereal beauty and meditative power to the evening.

Triple Choir
Experience music written for triple choir in the majestic surroundings of St Brigid's Red Hill on Saturday, October 26th, at 7pm. One Equal Music proudly showcases the ethereal harmonies of Brumel's monumental 'Earthquake' Mass, the sublime polyphony of Victoria's Missa Laetatus Sum, and the devotional splendor of Taverner's Hymn to the Mother of God. Immerse yourself in the rich textures and resonant acoustics of St Brigid's as three choirs unite in a symphony of voices, filling the sacred space with transcendent music.
